ITALIAN VESSELS FIRED ON. A:.*Tr-AUSTRIAN DKMOXSTRA"! I<>X. Rome, February 22. A special meeting of the Cabinet was held to inquire into three Austrian torpedoers entering Antivari harbour and firing on the schooner C'rueifisso at Saturno, while aeroplanes simultaneously dropped bombs. Tile Admiralty directs ships navigating in English waters to be painted with the Italian colours and port of origin. Immediately a submarine is sighted they must send off a boat with the ship's papers to meet it.
Tlie captains of the Osit Orticifisso and Saturno state that they hoisted the Italian flag before the Austrians fired. There have been pro-war demonstrations organised by the Nationalist Association. and counter demonstrations by Socialists in all the large towns. An anti-war meeting in Rome resulted in a riot. The hall was invaded, and many demonstrators injured.
