Maguire again came before Police Court this morning, charged ■ with committing a brrach of the pwcc. He pleaded guilty, and after Tnspector had stated the facts lie proceeded to address the Magistrate concerning the connection which he claimed th c reports of iv certain newspaper had '■ad with the assault. The Magistrate warned him on several occasions Dot to talk to the Court in such an excited, manner, but even this warning was only partially effective. The defendant finally wound up by declaring that there was a limit to a man's endurance, and his endurance had been overtaxed. The Magistrate paid the facts constituted what appeared to bq a wanton af*iick by aoemf'l. m "nnther person. Maguire (derisively): "Oh, give that garden "tuff to somebody else!" The Magistrate promptly' ordered the defendant to be taken into custody on ft charge of contempt.
