Wellington, February 22. The High Commissioner reports under date London, February 21, 5.15 p.m.:— Paris reports an infantry action in the Belgium infantry at Ypres. The Belgians have re-taken a section of trench occupied momentarily by the enemy, who left several hundred dead. In the Champagne district two enemy counter-attacks failed. In the Vosgos region three German attacks were repulsed and counter-attacks are proceeding. The Premier has received the following from the High Commissioner, dated London, February 22, at 3.50 a.m.: Paris reports from Champagne state that the enemy's counter-attack, was brilliantly repulsed and followed by an energetic pursuit, which made the Allies 'masters of all the German trendhes north and east of the wood taken yesterday. The Allies progressed notably north of Mesnil, and took a hundred prisoners. Germans on the 7th made an attempt to recover Lea Eparges, but failed. Petrograd reports that on the left bann of the Visutla hostile attacks \\w repelled. In the Carpathians an obstinate German attack between Tuckla and WyszkofT was repulsed. The Russians by a bayonet charge regained a height north-west of Seneczow. Two sorties by the garrison at Przemzyl wore easly repulsed, with heavy loss to 1 lip enemy.
