TARANAKI AUTUMN SHOW.
OPENING DAY TO-MOrfROW. This year's Taranaki Metropolitan Agricultural Society's slio-.v, which is to. be held to-morrow and Thursday, should prove one of the most interesting yet held by the society. Special mention 'must be made of the excellent entries in the cattle class, espciaily the milking sections. Some of the bestcattle in tlie North Island from various owners herds, will be competing, and the will have an anxious two days, there is a splendid entry in the horse section and most, of the classes are Letter filled than in previous shows. This year s pony class is the largest exhibit yet held by the society and tlie same remark will apply to all leaping other ring competitions. In the hunters champion jumping competition there are *0 entries'. The public should have an extra interest, this year in the spectacular ring competitions, ft is understood tlie quality of the stock all rounn will not have been excelled in any show ring this season. For the opening day to-morrow, the Society has made special train arrangements, the usual 4."20 tram having' been delayed until « p™-. on the People's Day, Thursday, spccia, train arrangements the same as hist year have Lecn made. The Society has arranged for the band to play on the ground on Thursday. Luncheon and afternoon tea can be had on the show ground. The secretary has arrangements well in hand, and the society only requires a few fine days to have a most sciiccessful si tow voax.
