j THE BRITISH EMPIRE COMPANY. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association, Wellington, February 19. The question o£ the validity' of t'la resolution to wind up the British Empire Petroleum Company, Ltd. in liquidation, was determined to-day by Mr Justice Hosking. The defendants' were F,'izabeth Linda Hadley and others, and among the signatories to the memorandum of association were Sir James Carroll, John Andrew Millar and Michael Francis Bourke, the first directors. Th--action was % summons by the liquidator company for an order'of the Court to enforce the payment of certain calis j which it ia alleged were made on the ] voluntary winding up of the company. J He summons was dismissed, and tiie question of costs reserved till to-mor'-10W.
