Tim following is Mr Bates' weather summary for the past twenty-four hours:— Increasing northerly and westerly winds have —-"viiilcil. with much cloud anil haziness generally. Rainfall has b.-en experienced in the west coast and southern districts. T!ie barometer is now low in tlie south. Forecast.—Present indications are for strong and squally north-westerly to sonth-wosterlv winds, unsettled ' ntid cloudy weather, and rain probable generally; barometer unsteady, with a falling tendency.
