MELBOURNE WOOL SALES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, February 10. At the resumption of the. wool sales, although the embargo on American export remains in force. Americans were buying heavily, and most of the betttr class' of merinos were eagerly snapped up for that destination. There were OliOO bales catalogued, and competition was exceedingly strong, there being satisfactory clearances of the better class. Merinos were unchanged; medium merinos and erossbreds generally showed a further improvement on the extreme rates ruling a fortnight ago.
