Wellington, Last Night The following is Mr Bates' weather summary for the past twenty-four ■hours: — South-easterly breezes now predominate in the north, and northerlies in the south. Fine weather has been oxperi- ' ent-cd to-day. The barometer rose everywhere last night, falling again in the south to-day. Forecast—Present indications are for -freshening northerly and westerly winds generally, fair to cloudy weather, with increasing cloudiness generally, and a falling barometer everywhere for a change probably following, with rain shortly on the west coast and southern districts.
