SPLENDID ENTRIES. The Taranaki Agricultural Society',-; Autumn show is always a popular fixture, l.olh among farmers and town people. This year the indications are that l'rt.riiary '24(h and 2.lth will see a show bigger and better than ever before. Tlie entries closed with the secretary on Saturday night, and they show a large increase in numbers as compared with last year's show, and also a distinct improvement in the quality of exhibits. Tlie arrangements for the show have never been more comprehensive. The dog section is in the hands delegates from the local Kenne] Club. iMi'l (he various entile clashes are to be attended to by the most, competent jt'eii i;i tlie district. Misphivs of machinery and fanners' implement* will be in e\ idonce. and for the amusement seeker, pure and simple, side-shows and novelties will provide all that can be desired.
