A SERIOUS MATTER. (To the Editor.) Sir,—Tn your issue of the 11th inrst.. under the heading of "A Pretty Pass," "Parent" draws the attention of the public to the dangers attending High School education. However, I feel certain that her serious indictment of the Taranaki Education Board, in allowing a High School master, or any other master or mistress, a day off to attend a race meeting cannot be correct. 1 am
