DISTRESS m SERVIA. STARVATION STARES HER PEOPLE IN THE FACE. APPALLING LOSSES OF CHILDREN. London, February 11. According to the American committee organised to secure relief for destitute Servians, $00,0(10 will starve unless they obtain grain for the spring seeding. Fifty per cent, of the children are dying from exposure and lack of nourishment and medicine. Farms are devastated, buildings and implements destroyed and the stock killed All the ablebodied men I"' 1 ' llt the front, and the women and children will have, to plant and cultivate the crops in the spring.
