FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following is Mr Bates' weather forecast for the past 24 hours: — Present indications are for moderate to strong westerly to southerly winds with changeable weather, unsettled at times, with scattered showers. The barometer is likely to fall temporarily for a disturbance which is developing on the front of an anti-cyclone now advancing from the westward.
