San Francisco, Feb. B—The survey of the Marama, which struck a rock in Half Moon Bay on Tier last voyage from Sydney, disclosed tliat about fifty plates TTad been punctured or dented. The Marama was going dead slow at the time of the mishap, and backed into deep water, her double bottom saving her from settling down. It is estimated that the damage is in the vicinity of £20,000.
