THE FEDERAL \SEVEKTE. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association, Melbourne, February 8. Tile Federal revenue, for the halfyear ended December, was £15.005,623, compared with £10,131,027 for the corresponding period last year. The expenditure was £15.748,040, 1 compared with £10,807,434. The increase is due to defence expenditure. The Treasurer has been authorised to issue and re-issue notes to the value of 25 millions, including the 20 millions authorised on December 14.
