The discussion showed that this notice was given owing to the Wharf Company's assets now being in posse.-.-s;on of Mr Cave. -Mr _ Moore moved, seconded by Mr Liinbie. that the members authorised to sign the Co-operative (Society's lease make sure 'before signing that'th e rent due to the Board is paid, and that Mr Miicßoynolds' elaimVliag heen paid. The Finance Committee renorted thev had made endeavours to get financial institutions to take up the Board's loan of £SO/100, but without success. Tin committee recommended sending a deputation to Wellington tc induce financiers to take up the loan. Messrs McTCeown, Lambie and Macfic opposed this, bui the u-port was adopted, on the easting vote of the chairman Messrs Moore, Hurst and Hughsou voting for it. RESIGNATION. The 5.1 erctary, Mr Chambers, forwarded his resignation. On the motion of the chairman and Mr Hurst, the secretary is to be asked to reconsider his decision, and if he is not inchncd to do so, that the chairman be (inpowjred to fill the vacancy. Mr Moore moved that the Egmont County Council and Parihaka Road Board be asked to furnish the quantities fd gravel and sand taken from the Board's endowments and foreshore, and the Council's attention he drawn to the inroads made on the Board's endowments,—Seconded by Mr Hurst and ear--I'iQd. Instruction in Class P.—These classes Lave received an excellent training. Order. Discipline and Tone of School.— Excellent. Efficiency of School.—Excellent Some of the country members of the T -mont Council were minutely inspecting th'.' recently laid down tarred work on the ain road through the town.
