EMPIRE PICTURES. An overflowing audience greeted the change of programme at tin; Empire Picture Palace oil Saturday evening "standing room only 7 ' being announeci: at S o'clock. The star picture was tin Keystone Company's finest production entitled "The Knock-out." This film i: 2000 feet in length, and is one of the most successful mirth-producers yet shown on the screen. Later she is knocked down by a sledge driven by the brother of the young ladv Oriscom is engaged to, and the wolf, fearful of discovery of his true character, kidnaps l : a«l;i and in the struggle a law;> .is (,\el"!sriied. The ii!iii--e catches Jirc. and Harry Mason, who lias become enamored of Paula, arrives on the scene anil rescues both the young lady and Oriscom. The photography is of the very highest standard, and the drama is well acted and the situations at Limes exciting. As is to he expected, the war plays a prominent part in the programme, and a most interesting picture ?s Patlie's English Cazctte, which contains scraps of news from cvervvbere. Other engaging pictures are "Sparrow of (lie Circus" (drama), "On the Maritime Alps" (colored scenic), ami t::c latest ••Cauuiont Craphic."
