A PRESIDENTIAL MEASURE SUSPECTED. THE SHIPS PURCHASE BILL. Times and Sydney Sur. Services. London, February 4. The Washington correspondent of The Times says that the revolt of some Senators threatens the passage of the Ship Purchase Bill. The President and his supporters are working feverishly to secure its safety. The President lias given an assurance that the Government will not purchase interned German ships, against the wishes of the other belligerents.
