The hearing of evidence" in the chargeof uheepshealing against Robert Guthriej. of Mount Nessiiig, Albury, was coa« "eluded to-day. Judge Denniston sums up in the morning. Accused and his sons, who assist, denied altering the earmarks. Accused said he believed' they had been done by someone to injure him, but was advised not to name anyone. The important point for the defence was that some of the faked earmarks did not convert the marks toaccused's. The prosecution pointed out that the new marks made the sheep nobody's, except the man's in possession, as no one had such a mark registered.The defence called witnesses to prove ill-feeling on the part of complainant towards accused, and this was replied to' by similar evidence on the other sidej
