Albert Edward' Greenwood, aged 21, a recent arrival, from England., .was sentenced .to a year's | I imprisonment ior indecent assault and I two years' reformative treatment for ! attempted carnal knowledge of a Child. George Slavish, ifor an attempt to break and enter and theft from a dwelling and breaking, entering :anfl ,theft, .was sentenced to two years' imprisonment on each of nine charges, the sentences to be concurrent. Mary Jane Cable, for house-breaking at Bulla, was -sentenced to a year's reformative -treatment. 'William Samuel Bea'hre, on a charge of forgery and uttering, was admitted to probation for eighteen months, ordered to refund the money, ipay costs, and -reside with his mother. Frederick Maurice Marlow, for theft of 'Money at Stratford, while bailiff at the Court, was sentenced to four months'imprisonment. Charles (ieddes, aged flo, for false pretences at Blenheim, -was sentenced to three years'' 'imprisonment and (declared a habitual criminal. Alfred John Burrows, en a charge of having bocn found in a dwelling without lawful excuse and cm two Charges of theft, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment and declared a habitual criminal. Cfecar Stangby, for breaking, entering and theft, was sentenced to a year's imprisonment and three years* reformative treatment. Charles Hector Dudley, for forgery and uttering, was sentenced to >six mounts' imprisonment and three years' reformative treatment.
