In order to add to the enjoyment of the bowlers who formed part of the great St.atford picnic at the East End yesterday, the Fitzroy Club made up three rinks to play against the visitors and some most interesting play took place, and although Stratford! players were victorious at two rinks out of"three, on the total scores they lost by 10. At the conclusion of the match, Mr G. Smart, on behalf of the visitors, tendered to the local club the very hearty thanks of the picknickers for providing them with an enjoyable game and entertaining them so hospitably. Mr F. Jackson, president of the Fitzroy Club, briefly acknowledged the compliment, and an exchange of cheers brought to a close a most pleasant game.
