At the wool sales merinos were firm . and crossbreds hardening. The Manga- , roae lip brought 13Jd. The next series will begin on February 23 instead of February 16. Copper—Spot £63 ss, three months £63 15s. Tin—Spot £172 10», three months £l5B 10s. Lead, £lB 12s 6d. Spelter, £37. Wheat opened Btrong at Is 6d to 2s dearer in sympathy with America, Canada and Argentina. There was fair cargo business in pareels. The market closed irregular, on tbe reaction in Chicago. Linseed oil, £27 15s. MELBOURNE WOOL SALES. Melbourne, February 4. There was great activity and firmness at the wool sales. Tho top price wa§ ■ 18jd.
