TARANAKI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
Taranaki Show! There is a magnetism about thusu words that leads people on to inquire further into the working of this important fixture. The headquarters of this association are in the secretary's ollice, Currie street, New Plymouth, and just now their office is a hive of industry, with the procession of people making entries which close on the 13th inst. Entries are closing in all classes, and as there are only twelve days before the final dafe, intending exhibitors should get in early. Splendid provision is being made for the comfort of all stock, so that exhibitors need have, no anxiety in this respect. The prize-money allotted to this fixture compares very favorably with that of any other show in the Dominion and, m itself, should be an inducement to those who possess anything of merit to make entries. The show of dogs usually congregated is acknowledged by experts to be the finest collection of canines brought together in New Zealand, and the prospects for this year's show far exceed those: of previous shows. The schedule this year for the dog section has been very liberally treated with regard to specials, so that it is expected all the champions of New Zealand will be on exhibition. Exhibitors are apparently aware of the benefits derived I from showing dogs at this Taranaki show, realising as they do, that the ad-1 vcrtisement contained in the catalogue ! more than compensates them for their entry fee, as the dog's pedigree, date of birth, breeder and exhibitor,' etc., are all contained therein. .' Schedules will be posted to any address on application to the sccreary, P.O. Box 19, New Plymouth,
