WEATHER FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association, Wellington, Last Night. Following is Mr Bates' weather forecast:— Present indications are for southerly breezes, changing by west to north and then increasing everywhere for a westerly storm area which is likely to develop in the next 48 hours. Conditions are changeable, with much dull and misty weather, foggy in parts, and rain following, especially southward of Kawhia and Castlepoint; barometer probably falling everywhere shortly.
