GENERAL BOTHA'S LOYALTY. Capetown. January 20. The trial of Brand and Wessels revealed that Wessels headed a deputation to Cenei'al llottea, and demanded his re situation. Ceneral Botha. declared that he would not resign and was determined to suppress the rebellion. Subsequently Wessels induced five hundred .'.t Rcthcleliem to rebel. EXPORT OF CORN PROHIBITED. Received 31, 4.30 p.m. Pretoria, January 30. The export of maize and oats overseas has been prohibited until the Defend: Department's wants arc satisfied.
