Pupils prepared for. the various music (practical and theoretical) examinations in connection with the (Royal Academy and Trinity College, London. The New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club will parade at 6.45 ajn. at the Coronation Hall oil Sunday for the marcli to Waitara. Members are requested to be punctual. Arrangements have been made for a cup of tea at Bell Block, and also for a conveyance to accompany the march. People who are not averse to securing bargains should malc e a point of attending the Melbourne, Ltd.'s great midsummer sale, now on. Tremendous money-saving chances are offered on boy's and men's clothing, mercery, liata, and on several well-known lines of Manchester goods.
