The patrol Replied with machine-guns and rifles, and the Turks did not show a desire to come to close quarters. Small bodies of men at three other points cast of the Canal did not come into contact with the British troops. A hydroplane bombed a Turkish column at Birmur-Sadad, inflicting losses.
