The following is Mr Bates' weatlier forecast: — Present indications are for variabl.; winds, strong south-easterly to easterlies northward of East Cape and Ka'whia, and increasing northerlies and westerlies elsewhere; unsettled conditions in the northernmost and southernmost districts, and warm, dull and misty at times elsewhere. The barometer is unsteady, witlh a falling tendency everywhere soon.
