Two divisions of the Eleventh Turkish Army Corps were defeated in the Khorasan region, and their mountain artillery captured. GERMAN BLUSTER. TO IMPRESS THE TURKS. ENGLISH "COWARDS" AT SUEZ CANAL. " Received 26, 1.10 ain. Cairo, January 25. General Von Kenstein, addressing Turkish officers and soldiers at Damascus, said: "The British are your great enemy. This is your last chance for life, and the last chance of Mohammedanism. Our expedition will shortly cross the Egyptian frontier. Once you near the Suez Canal, which is defended by the cowardly English, it will be only a matter of a few hours to cross it. There is no possibility of retreat. Death will be inevitable, not from desert perils alone, but from the reserve army behind. Therefore, it will be much easier to go forward." TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. VON DER GOLTZ REPORTED SHOT. The Egyptian Gazette has reported that the German Consulate at Jaffa is informed that General Von Der Goltz and other German officers were shot at Constantinople.
