URITI ATHLETIC CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Urnti Athletic Club was held on Saturday evening, when Mr. C H. Barnitt presided over a record gathering. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £3B. It was decided to hold a sports meeting early in March, if a suitable date can be obtained, and the secretary was instructed to apply to the Athletic Union for a date. Mr. H. M. Oxenham. who has always taken a great interest in the club, was unanimously elected president. A strong committee was elected, Mr. W. Heron being appointed secretary. A committee was appointed to arrange for a new ground, as the paddock on which the sports have previously been held is unavailable, owing to its having been recently ploughed.
