N'EW PLYMOUTH HIDE, SKIN" WOOL AND TALLOW SALES. .LA. Nolan and Co. report: iSHNte have to advise, a full attendance of oaplfs, at our sale of the above on January 13. Prices realised showed evidence of the keen competition. Hides attained a level never reached in New Plymouth before, butchers' cow hides selling at 9fd, OJd, lOd. 10J and 10Jd, while one line of settlers' renlised 9|d per lb. Calfskins maintained recent high levels, viz., 124 d, 12Jd and Is Id per lb. Sheepskins realised rates obtained at last sale. Wool was keenly competed for, and realised prices as good, and in some instances better, than those obtained last month.
