Suubjeet to necessary alterations, mails will close at the Chief Post Office as under:— For Auckland and North, per stamer, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, at 7 p.m., and daily, per train, at 6.15 a.m. For Wellington and South, daily, at 6.15 a.m. and 12.20 p.m. For Wanganui and intermediate offices, daily, at 6.15 a.m. and 12.20 p.m. For Wanganui and- intermediate offices, daily, at 6.15 a.m., 12.20 and 3.55 p.m. SATURDAY, JANUARY 23. For Australian States, South Africa, China, Straits Settlements, and East Indies, via Auckland at 7 p.m. For Tasmania, via Wellington, at 12.20 p.m. MONDAY, JANUARY 25. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, West Indies, British, French, & Dutch Guiana, Venezuela, U.S. of Columbia Central America, Mexico, United States of America and Canada, via Vancouver; also Honolulu, Japan and Fanning Island (per s.s. Niagara from Auckland) at C.15 a.m.—Due London February 25. (Money-orders close noon on Saturday). The times for closing mails for places beyond the Dominion are liable to alteration (earlier or later). .
