WELLINGTON RACING CLUB. \ SECOND DAY. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The second day's ra«ing of tlie Wellington. summer meeting took place at Treiitham to-day. Rain fell at frequent intervals, but Ux.'e was a large attendance. The course was in failcondition at the commencement, but became holding during the afternoon. In the principal event, the Wellington Stakes, there was a bad mix-up at the bend, three horses falling and Sutala pulling up injured, leaving only three to finish. Flying Start, with a spectacular late run, won by a short neck from Gold Foil. Pavlova added to her Cup win of the first day by gaining a fine victory in the Club Handicap, finishing two lengths ahead of Indigo. After tlie Disposal Stakes the winner, Hon. J. D. Ormond'a gelding Daytime was sold for 135 guineas "to Mr. A., Rutherford. The sum of £40,258 10s was put through the totalisator as against £37,021 on the corresponding day of last year. Bimeter and Sutala were bracketed »n the totalisator. Gold Foil led easily in the earlier part of the race, Sutala and Bimeter being level in second position. At the bend Bimeter galloped on Sutala's heels and fell, bringing down Rangitero and Dinner Gong. Sutala liad a tendon cut, and left only the three places horses to finish. Gold Foil was two lengths ahead entering the straight, but Flying Start came up with a .vonderful run and won by a short neck. Three lengths separated second and third. Time, lmin 3sec. The jockeys who were thrown only received slight injuries.

RACING CLUB HANDICAP, of 600 sovs. One mile and three furlongs.— 2 Pavlova, 8.3 (B. Deeley), 1; Indigo, 2; 7 Kilrain, 3. Also started: 5 Sea Pink, C Byron, 4 Marshal McDonald, 3 Court-Martial, 8 St. Elmn. Sea Pink was left at the post. The first time past the judge's box the order was Pavlova, Byron, Marshal McDonald Pavlova was_never displaced, and won by two lengths. Indigo ran into second place in the straight, and finished threequarters of a length ahead of Kilrain. Time, 2min 22sec.

In his evinence, Emerson ad- ? ittcd pulling Sutala up in order to get better position next the rails. The s wards considered that lie acted in a ci.i'eless manner, though with 110 wrong intention. They expressed tlie opinion that Sutala was pulled up too sharply, and was the cause of Bimeter coming to grief. Emerson was disqualified till March 31st for careless riding. FOXTON MEETING. Foxton, Last Night. The Foxton races were held to-day. The sum of £14,074 was passed through the totalisator, as compared with £14,540 on the same day. last year. Wioletta dropped dead after pulling up in the Dash Handicap. L. Nodder, rider of Chaminadc, was fined £5, and severely cautioned, for interference with Sweet Van during the running of the Cup. Leapuki led into the straight when iie was challenged by Chaminade, the pair fighting out a head <\nd head finish just in front of Ladify. Victoris was not favored by the start, and finished fourth.
