A Lutheran pastor was compelled to join the cry: "God protect Kaiser Hadj Wilhelm." For the benefit of the Arabs it has been discovered that the Kaiser is a direct descendant of the prophet's sister, and it was stated that he has undertaken to make a pilgrimage to Mecca at the end of the war.
