LONDON WOOL SALES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, January 19. The Bank of New Zealand Ibas received the following advice from their London office:—"Wool sales opened with strong competition. All crossbreds arc seven and a half per cent, dearer. Good merinos are from par to live per cent, dearer. Other classes unchanged." WOOL MARKET IMPROVING. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 20th inst."Wool.— Tone of market better. Greasy merino, 5 per cent., greasy crossbred 7V 2 per cent, higher. American operators are buying."
