The shipping returns show that during 191-1 a total of 2273 oversea vessels, aggregating 10,10-1,481 tons, entered the port, as against 2348 vessels of 10,257,002 tons in 1013. The decrease is considered due to the war. The figures up to July show a considerable increase over those of 1913.
