The schedule, completely revised fur th'.s year, is now the most complete that the Society has ever issued. It is therefore expected that record .n----'tries will he received, and j.irea'j preparations are being made for the convenience and com'-v,-! -it exhibitors and their stock.

A splendid progremuie I, s been arranged for the entertainment of the public, anil amongst the new items introduced v be one for the best barebacked pouv rider, boy or girl, under 17 years. The Turning Competition, on horseback, is' a. novel item, and one which has been successful in causing a giv.il deal ot amusement at other places. There will be two military events, one for section jumping, and tin- other for the tug-of-war on horseback. All these are new events and will no doubt be much appreciated bv the public. New classes have been inij-odtieed thi> year in the milking section for registered Shorlhorns. It is understood that this department will he one of the strongest at the forthcoming show. In the fat cattle section the pedigree Shorthorns should be well repivsentcd this year, as among tin- numerous pri/es offered will be a special one of Co -V donated by .Mr D. Greetiv.ay. The New Zealand Jersey Cattle Breeder's Association is offering, in the Jersey section, gold medals for tin- best purebred bull and cow.
