MOTOR BUSES.

A service that should prove mi inestimable boon to the settlors of the coast and the residents of Xew Plymouth is to lie inaugurated in ii fortnight's time, when the Taranaki Motor Transport Company will pub in commission two"motor 'buses, to run between New Plymouth and Opunake. One ! lms, of the char-a-banc kind, luxuriously fitted, and capable of accommodating thirty-five passengers, besides parcels ami mail matter, supposed to be one of the finest machines ever turned out by the Daimler linn, will run between New Plymouth and Okato, making two return trips a day, in the morning and the afternoon. A lighter 'bus will connect at Okato, and ply between that point and Opunake. The company will have a third machine available. in case of emergency. This will ensure a regular bi-daily service between Xew Plymouth and Opunake, an<t should prove a great convenience to the public. We understand the. company is setting itself out not only to cater for the passenger traffic, but parcel-carrying, which should be worked up into a lucrative business. The company should reap the reward its enterprise warrants it in anticipating.
