AMERICANS VOLUNTEER FOR SERVICE. WITH THE ALLIED FORCES. Received 15, 7.10 p.m. Fremantle, January 15. Mr. Sawyer, a representative of American anil Canadian railway companies, was a passenger by the Moldavia. He declared that already (iO/jilO Americans had volunteered for service with the Allies, but the Government had stepped in and prevented them doing so. At least 0000, however, crossed the border, and enlisted in Canadian contingents.
