CODE CABLEGRAMS. The Chief Postmaster at New Plymouth advises:— On and after to-morrow cable mes-< sages, in authorised editions of A.8.C., Lieber's, Scott's, and Western Uniotf codes only, may be exchanged with Brit-* ish or Allied territory wherever situated, or neutral territory or on the extra,-* European telegraph system. No codM messages permitted to or from neutraj territory on the European system, ojfc cept those exchanged between the Government and the head of the diplomatic" mission,, as from now until further notice. The use of the three codes' referred to in telegram 11th December, viz., Meyers' Atlantic cotton code, Bentley's complete phrase code, and Bronv hall's Imperial combination code, is per-i mitted with the United Kingdom. Onlyj the name of the code used must appear in the service instructions, Senders axi to supply translation when the telegrani is handed in. Cables for and originating l at places other than the United Kingdom' to be de-coded and censored* The Ufl# of numerical equivalents published In' code books is not permitted.
