The steamer Nile struck the Howsro Rock off Awashima Island, in the Inland Sea, at midnight on -Monday, and sank in thirty seconds. The Fiskuju Maru rescued the passengers and crew. The Nile was in the charge of a pilot. The passengers and crew have gone to Kobe, are no details. [The Nile was a twin-screw steamer of 0894 tons, and 50(H) h.p.] 0 A CORRECTION. Received 13, 7.15 p.m. London, January 12. Correction.—The Nile sank in thirty fathoms of water.
