WELLINGTON SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP, WON BV SWANSTON. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The men's singles, which could not be completed at the Wellington Provincial Tennis Championship meeting last week, were got off to-day, when Swanston (Thorndon) beat Wright (Auckland), 6-3, 6-3. Swanston surpassed his competitor in all-round play. Wright showed good form with several shots, but was not able to sustain his efforts. He made a very bad start, but improved towards the finish, while Swanston played strongly throughout.
