I!AIIAVAY KTATruX DAMAGED. By Telegraph—Per Press Association. Tauranga, January 11. The new railway station at Mount •Maunganui was almost completely burned down yesterday morning, and is a total loss to the contractors. There was no insurance.

NAPIER SHOP GUTTKD. Napier, January 11, A fire at midnight on Saturday gutted a shop in the centre of tlie city occupied by Risdale as a fancy goods store and soft drinks bar. The building was owned by Mr. Lan Simson, and was purchased only last week from the Loan and Mercantile' Co. The insurance on the building was £250, and fittings £l5O 111 the Union Fire Office. Risdale's loss is about £BOO. Particulars are not avalable, the owner being away.
