PRESIDENT WILSON DARE NOT SOLVE IT. A MASTERLY POLIQY OF INACTIVITY. Received 12, 1 a.m. Washington, January 11. President Wilson, in a speech at Indianopolis, produced a commotion in political circles by declaring that as far as he was concerned Mexico might con. timic to "stew in her own juice." The European Powers could spill as much blood as they pleased in settling their affairs, and 3lexico should have the same freedom. Hi- was proud to belong to a great nation that says: "This is a country that we could crush, but its people shall have as much freedom in its own affairs as we have."
