There were also present Messrs 0. W. Sole, J. McLeod, S. Paul, E. F. Blundell, B. H. Chaney, W. C. Weston, Newton King, F. Orbell, and G. Fraser. An apology was received from Mr A. R. Standish. The question of train arrangements for the February meeting was discussed at; length, and ultimately a sub-com-mittee was appointed to make final arrangements. A sub-committee was also appointed to go into the matter of advertising the meeting. The question of installing 10s totalistor ticket windows on the lawn was discussed, and it was finally decided that no 10s tickets be issued from the lawn and that the system of lawn passes out be adhered to as previously* Mr Wood was appointed veterinary surgeon to the Club. It; was decided to purchase additional lawn seats. Particulars are to be obtained with regard to an up-to-date ambulance room which it is proposed to erect. The matter of improving the accommodation in the ladies' room in the main stand was referred to a committee. The custodian, Mr Blewman, and family were granted Christmas boxes i» recognition of their work during the year. A number of minor matters were brought forward, and the more important of these will be- dealt with by the course committee. It is reported that 'Mr. E. .1. Watt, of TTawke's Bay, intends to establish a stud farm in New South Wales.
