ACTIVITY IN THE ARGONNES. Wellington, Yesterday. The High Commissioner reports under date London 6, 8.25 p.m.:— Paris reports that in the Argonnes a very vigorous action developed, the French recapturing 300 metres of trenches in the La Grurie wood and a ravine at Coutechausse. The French mined and exploded 800 metres of German trenches, occupying half. An Italian regiment, under Lieutenant-Colonel Garibaldi, captured by assault 120 prioners, taking a mitrailleuse and a caisson.
