WAITUI'S EFFORT. Mr. E. T. Rrittaln, of Waitui, near Inglewood, writes to the Editor:—"Enclosed please find cheque for £lO 10s, being a contribution from Waitui for the Poor in Britain and Belgium Fund, made up as follows:—Balance from Waitui Patriotic Fund, 10s fid; R. Hunter, 10s; Messrs. Mcßae, £1 9s 8d; C. O. Shuttleworth, £1; E. J. Brittain, £1; Waitui social, £O. Total, £lO 10s." We are also in receipt of a cheque of £7 3s from the Empire Picture Company, the proceeds of the performance given on Christmas Night. We have forwarded both amounts to the local treasurer. |
