Three thousand members were present at the opening of the Stock Exchange, and sang the National Anthem. Many arc absent on active service. Business was moderate. Though the new regulations restrict dealings, there were a fair number of sales. Quotation!,: Consols, buyers £6B 10s, sellers £OB 12s Gd; Waihi, 3Gs 3d and 38s 9d; Junction, 23s 9d and 255, WHEAT RISING IN PRICE. London, January 4. Wheat is firmer, and 3d to Gd dearer, owing to anti-cyclonic weather in the Argentina and the buoyancy in America and Canada.
