Allen, speaking on finance, said that already a two million war loan had been lloatcd with the; assistance of the British Government, also a 3'/ t million loan to redeem portion of Sir Joseph Ward's loan coming due. These loans had been raised at V/.. per cent., but at a discount, the price of issue being £95, These loans will, therefore, cost 4 per cent., including redemption in 1928.
