A SWEDE'S SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Gisborne, Yesterday. George Baxter, aged 46, a Swede, was found dead at Tokomaru Bay Hotel, with a wound over the heart, and a repeating rifle alongside bim. 1A BLACKSMITH'S SUICIDE. Reefton, January 3. Thomas Hall, a middle-aged man, who is supposed to have come from the North Island, cut bis throat yesterday on the Strand outside the town. Deceased was a blacksmith at the New Big River mine, and is said to have been drinking heavily.
