SUPPOSED SUICIDE. Auckland, Last Night. Tlio body of a farm laborer, William Christopher Costar, was found suspended from a rafter in a cow shed at Mangcre yesterday. It appeared to be a ease of suieide. A FARMER KILLED. Timaru, Friday. ■William Patrick, a retired farmer, aged 7!), being unwell, fell out of his trap.and was found with a broken neck on the road near Winchester yesterday. IA verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest. WHARF LABORER KILLED. Wellington, January 2. Charles James Wood, aged 50, was injured at the Railway Wharf on Wednesday through being jambed between two trucks as lie was assisting to load tiie steamer Some'set, and died at the hospital yesterday. A VICTIM TO ALCOHOL. j Dannevirke, January i. 1 At an inquest 'held to-day on the body of a woman named Annie. Thornhill, who was found dead yesterday in her bedroom, a verdict was returned that death was due to suffocation as the result of excessive drinking.
